Integrity

Integrity is about character. A professional is honest and can be trusted to complete the tasks at hand. In a busy dialysis center, you may be tempted to take shortcuts or not to follow policies about hand-washing or changing gloves. But having integrity means—even in times of stress—your patients can trust you to do what is in their best interest.

Integrity also means being willing to “go the extra mile” to help your co-workers when things get crazy. Don’t ignore an alarming machine that isn’t in your area. A professional with integrity knows how important it is to help others. This kind of teamwork promotes good patient care.
